Ruth King is founder and CEO of Business Ventures Corporation. She has helped thousands of businesses grow and succeed, one which had a negative $400,000 net worth when she began working with that company. They are profitable, in business today, more than 15 years later.

After twelve years on the road, doing 200 flights per year, she knew there had to be a better way to reach business people who wanted to build their businesses and train their employees. began broadcasting in March, 2002. (formerly began broadcasting in January, 2005. Other channels quickly followed. Entrepreneurs Insight, d/b/a Ribbon, the first Internet Broadcasting Network, was born.

Ruth holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and University of Pennsylvania, respectively. She also holds an MBA in finance from Georgia State University.

She was the 2006 USA Best Books Winner for Entrepreneurship and a finalist for the Independent Publisher Awards (IPPY) for her first book, The Ugly Truth about Small Business (Sourcebooks, 2006). Her second book, The Ugly Truth about Managing People, was a finalist for the 2007 USA Best Book Awards. Ruth has been interviewed by the media including Wall Street Journal Radio Network,, First Business, Small Business Advocate, and over 100 other television stations, radio stations, newspapers, and magazines.
